Product Description
Lake MXZ200 Commute / MTB Winter Boots In Black
Since 1982 Lake has innovated new categories in the cycling shoe market. Mountain Bike Shoes were inexistent until Lake produced the first shoe designed specifically to handle the rough terrain and stiff enough to not cause foot fatigue and the same could be said for the fat bike boot that was designed a decade before the competition ever conceived that this was a category for cycling. Not many companies are focused primarily on the foot and neither are they making only footwear; however, Lake remains resolute in our focus, to make the most comfortable, best performing cycling shoe in the market.
Lake MXZ200 Commute / MTB Winter Boots In Black
With a much wider & taller toebox than our traditional lasts, the Winter last allows the foot to maintain proper circulation even when thicker socks are worn.
Our winter last is the standard for winter cycling footwear.
*Designed to be used with flat or clipless pedal systems
Tip for keeping your shoes Water resistant:
The uppers are treated from the factory with a DWR (Durable Water Resistant) coating that will ware away over time and use. Like many other water-resistant products, to help keep the shoe uppers from absorbing water that could migrate into the shoe, it is recommended to reapply the upper with a DWR spray which are readily available at most stores that sell outdoor products. We recommend reapplying the coating 1-2 times a year for moderate riders and for heavy use or daily commuter riders reapply at least after every 2-3 extreme wet rides. For best result follow the instructions from the DWR manufacture on how to reapply the coatings.
OUTSOLE-
Heavy duty Mountain V outsole by Vibram. This is all built on Lake's legendary Nylon midsole that is extremely comfortable, stiff enough for cycling and flexible enough to traverse any terrain. For traction control we use durable and grippy Vibram rubber tread for sure footing and stability.
UPPER-
Ecco vegetable tan leather, Waterproof membrane liner & 3M Thinsulate lining in toe box.
Comfortable down to 13°F ( -10°C )
Tips For Accurate Foot Measurement-
Take your foot measurement in a standing position while wearing your cycling socks.
Please obtain a 3 digit millimeter measurement.
example: 267mm or 26.7cm will provide the correct amount of data.
Two digit measurements, like "26cm", does not provide enough data to determine size.
Step-By-Step-
Step 1: Trace your foot onto a sheet of paper. After you trace your foot take a ruler and make a line to mark the furthest point on all four sides as shown below.
Step 2: Length measurement (Points 1 to 2 as shown below). Use a millimeter ruler to get the measurement of the longest distance from heel to longest toe (first or second toe).
Step 3: Width measurement (Points 3 to 4 as shown below). Use a millimeter ruler to get the measurement of the widest distance of foot from side to side.
Step 4: Repeat steps for other foot as your feet may be different sizes. Typically you will want shoes that accommodate your largest foot the most comfortably.
