History

Nitto was founded in 1923 in Tokyo, Japan and is a Japanese manufacturer of bicycle components such as handlebars, stems, and seat posts. For some time now, Nitto has also been manufacturing other bicycle components such as bicycle racks. Various Nitto components are certified for track cycling races, and the company was one of the first to outfit the Japanese Keirin races.

Description

Nitto-M12 is designed to use for support of handlebar bag.

Harking back to the 1930s, Nitto’s beautifully constructed M12 front rack uses the fork crown and cantilever bosses as mounting points making an ideal platform for a sleeping bag, mat or light bag.

Paired with a rear rack, bagman or saddlebag this rack makes for an excellent lightweight combo for weekenders or fast touring.

The carrier is made from 8mm chrome plated steel tube and has an attractive hemispherical curve to the front, as well as brazed on threadings for lamp brackets, all finished with Nitto's incredible filleted joints. There's is a threaded mount in the bottom of the rack to bolt your mudguard to, for additional support and stability which is a really nice feature!

Do not mount metal basket on this rack.
