This gauge checks the chain line to ensure the best performance. It can be checked with just one touch, so it`s been well received by busy inspectors at keirin race inspection centers.

GAUGE42S is a gauge that checks the distance between the center of a keirin frame and the center of chainring, which is the standard of 42mm ± 2mm.

As shown in the photo, place the V-groove of the gauge on the seat tube, and if the chain fits into the long hole (4mm wide), the check is complete.

The center of the long hole is 42mm from the center of the seat tube, so if the chain ring fits into the hole you look into, you can determine that the inspection standard is met.

In particular, if you are using a tapered crank, the tapered part may be rubbed too much and pushed further in than necessary.

In addition, the crank may not be fully inserted due to loose tightening, so please use this product and position it appropriately.

In addition, the chain ring may be distorted due to impact such as falling off the bike. It is easy to check the distortion of the chainring by setting the gauge and looking into the long hole while turning the crank.

The material is stainless steel SUS304 (18-8 stainless steel). We have added barrel polishing, which was not done on the old model, to smooth out the cut surfaces and corners that may damage the frame.

When checking the bending of the chainring teeth, the old model hit the crank and could not confirm the bending of the teeth on the back of the crank, but by downsizing, it is now possible to turn the chainring.

In addition, by widening the V-groove that touches the seat tube, it can also be used on frames with wide seat tubes.

As an aside, since it is a gauge that matching the size of a credit card, we laser engrave the logo mark with the motif of the design of the IC chip of the credit card. It's a bit of playfulness.
