The aptly named Addict gets an overhaul this year to be even more of everything you love about performance road bikes. To make the new Addict Premium, we took design cues and high-tech elements riders love about racing platforms and toned them down to create a ride that’s still potent enough to enjoy fast laps and hard efforts on the pedals but one that also won’t leave you feeling like you’re a broken pretzel for it after only 20 miles.

On Addict Premium, geometry is slightly upright and more forgiving than on race bikes, so you can put in the miles at the pace you want, whether up-tempo or Sunday social without straining to contort to a long reach and tight stack.

 Engineers also constructed the frameset for vertical compliance without sacrificing anything in terms of power transfer and efficiency, so when you find a road that lets you use the Addict’s 38mm tire clearance, you’ll enjoy the ride without the roughness. However, performance is always on-tap should you want it. Addict Premium gets our lightweight yet strong HMX carbon layup for rapid accelerations, effortless climbing prowess, and that trademark nimble ride quality Addict is known for.

Addict Premium goes where you go, how you go, and as long you go. And if you go too long, the frame-stowed Save-The-Day Kit unpacks to rescue you with a tube, tire lever, and mini-pump. Addict Premium comes equipped with Shimano’s top-tier Dura-Ace Di2 electric 2x groupset and fast and stable Fulcrum Wind 42 disc wheels on Schwalbe PRO ONE tires for going long at any speed you choose.
