Elite Trail handlebar is Identical in alloy and construction to our Downhill bar, our new Trail bar is 750mm wide with 20mm of rise, 8° of backsweep, and 5° of upsweep.. The clamping area is 50mm, allowing a different bend profile for a more compliant ride. The Trail bar gives you a light Aluminium all-around bar for your Mountain Bike.

History
Loronzo H. “Ronnie” Thomson founded L.H. Thomson Company, Inc. in 1981 with a mission to manufacture precision machined parts using CNC equipment. In the mid-‘90s, Ronnie used his aerospace engineering expertise to create a bicycle seatpost for his daughter, a team cyclist at Carnegie Mellon University. Rather than making a post similar to other posts on the market, Ronnie created something entirely new: a one-piece seatpost light enough for an unmatched ride, but strong enough to withstand the pressures of biking. Ronnie patented his creation and Thomson bike components were born.

Bars are butted and tapered in many steps for optimal fatigue life. Ends of the bar are thickened from 1.4 to 1.6mm to resist damage from impacts and contact with the ground.
Bars are produced by advanced Hydraulic Press Forming to avoid the need for hand grinding. Almost all other bars are manually bent, and bends are ground to appear smooth. Hydraulic Press Forming ensures very consistent wall thickness and close tolerances, especially in tapered sections. This keeps weight low and fatigue life high.
Together with a Thomson stem, this is the best Aluminium cockpit you can get. It’s the perfect addition to your Elite X4 Stem or Direct Mount Stem.
